Storybook Island

If you have young children this is a must see in Rapid City. It's run by a non-profit organization and well maintained. There are so many things to do throughout the park. I don't have children but loved walking through it. Park is open to children of all abilities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. Storybook Island hosts educational events and workshops that support literacy and learning. 2026 Season is May 23 - September 7, open daily 9am-7pm. Free Admission but donations encouraged.
